Movember (and MoGiving) ends, but our speaker announcements begin!

Well, here we are. After a month of inattention to our philtrums, Movember is drawing to a close. Thanks to everyone who grew mustaches for and/or contributed to the Dad 2.0/NYC Dads Group Movember team. As of now, we’re ranked No.8 among the 27 teams in the Boston network, which as of this writing has raised almost $150,000 for research into curing men’s cancers. Truly amazing! And remember: Even though most of the mustaches are coming off tonight, donations will still be open. If you’ve been meaning to donate a little something, there’s no time like the present. And the not-too-distant future.

In keeping with this goodwill, we want to remind you that this is the last day of our MoGiving25 promotion. If you purchase your ticket for Dad 2.013 by midnight EST tonight (using the promo code “MoGiving25”), you’ll save 25% off the current price of $249, and that $50 savings will go right to our Movember team! If you’re coming to Houston, now’s the time to save some serious dough AND donate it to a great charity. Win win, baby.

And now, the first moment of many you’ve been waiting for: Now that December is nearly upon us, we’re hyperbolically pleased to announce the first group of speakers who will be appearing at Dad 2.013!

Congratulations and thanks to these writers, media professionals, and all-around, top-quality, multi-hyphenated arse-kickers (whom we’ve listed in reverse-alphabetical order because not enough people do that):

And this is just the first round; lots of great applicants are still in the running as we finalize our programming and attempt to further the conversation about how dads are rewriting our roles, both in our families and among the parent-blogging community.

Stay tuned for more programming and speaker announcements in December!
