Official #DadsDisruptAging Video Contest Rules, Prompts, and Prizes!

When we think about aging, we usually think about people who’ve already aged a lot. “Old people.” But like it or not, all of us have someone in our lives who thinks of us as old. Remember when 25 years old was ancient? That becomes laughable when you consider some of your shirts are old enough to run for Congress.

We’re all aging. That’s a fact. We think it’s time to redefine what longevity means and begin to re-think the negative stories we tell ourselves about aging. Disrupt Aging is a place to refresh the conversation—often funny, sometimes raw, always honest—about living the life that we choose, for longer. It’s time to change the narrative. You can help!

To further the important messages of our partner Disrupt Aging, XY Media (in conjunction with Dad 2.0 Summit) is hosting a video contest, in which entrants can share their own take on aging and fatherhood for the chance to win a $100 Amazon gift card (five winners in all).

How to enter: Record a video (if uploaded to YouTube make sure it is set to Public) and share it on Twitter, tagging @disruptaging AND using the #DadsDisruptAging hashtag by 11:59pm ET on Sunday, March 31, 2019.

Videos should reflect the concept of modern fatherhood and the effects of aging with regard to the Influencer’s own life and experience using one or more of the following prompts. Please choose one (1) phrase from each of the sections below and record yourself saying them to camera/phone (please record horizontally):

State/answer one (1) quote from this section:

  • I’m [name], and I want to disrupt aging.
  • My name is [name], and I’m [age].

AND one (1) quote from this section:

  • I disrupt aging to/because _______________.
  • I disrupt aging for _________ , because _______________.

Videos should not exceed three (3) minutes in length. Don’t forget to tag @disruptaging and use the #DadsDisuptAging hashtag. The contest ends at 11:59pm ET on March 31, 2019. Winners will be contacted on Twitter via the handle they used to enter the contest no later than April 10, 2019.
